The TF Youth participate in the United Nations ECOSOC Youth Forum in New York City!

Two Task Force members, Jessica Hutting and Yeang Sethsamprathna participated in ECOSOC Youth Forum at UN Headquarters in New York to discuss the role of youth in building sustainable and resilient urban and rural community.

The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum held on 30-31 January 2018 provided a platform for youth to engage in a dialogue with Member States and to discuss the policy frameworks and promote innovative, institutionalised approaches and initiatives for advancing the youth development agenda at national, regional and global levels with a view to promoting solutions to the global challenge of strengthening resilience and sustainable development.

"A resilient community needs resilient youth. Sport is the tool to inspire young people to be resilient and engaged in the Global 2030 Agenda implementation", says Yeang

"By bringing the voice of youth from the grassroots to the global level, policy-making and SDG implementation will be truly for and with inclusive of young people", remarked Jessica
